Pay for your dream holiday with Mecca Bingo cash

Now is the time of year when everyone you know jets off on their summer holidays, leaving you behind in rainy old Britain if you haven’t got the cash to afford your dream break. However, this can all change if you take up a hobby that thousands of people all over the country are into right now – online bingo.

As well as being fun and easy to play, online bingo is a great way to raise some extra cash. Whilst most bingo sites offer games where the jackpots range from £10 – £100, the Mecca Bingo site is giving away a total of £250,000 this month. This works out at around £8,500 a day in June Jackpots.

To stand a chance of getting your hands on some of the cash, you need to firstly sign up as a member of the Mecca Bingo site. You can then buy tickets for each of the jackpot games playing in Mecca’s wide range of 90-Ball Bingo rooms between 7pm and 10pm each night.

If you win with Mecca Bingo and win big, you may be able to afford that exotic beach break, or that luxury cruise you’ve had your eye on. You can have the holiday of a lifetime with that kind of cash!

Beware of Rats

Holiday makers were stranded when their plane was grounded on the way to Cyprus when a pilot saw a rat running around in the cockpit.

The charter plane which flys between London and Paphos was grounded in fears the rat could chew through important wires in the cockpit.

The Airline Thomas Cook has apologised to all passengers for the 24 stop which was made for the Rat to be taken away.

What makes things worse is that the Rat was never found and after checking the wiring the plane was flown back to the UK.

A Thomas Cook spokesman said: ‘Any delays to our flying schedule are regrettable and we apologise to those holidaymakers on our Paphos to Gatwick flight last Sunday.

‘Only a very small number of sightings of rodents on board aircraft occur each year.

‘Thorough pest control checks were carried out in Paphos and again in Gatwick once the aircraft had returned, and at no time was there any threat or danger to passengers or crew.’

Japan

With the current Tsunami and Earthquake hitting Japan lots of people are cancelling their holiday’s to Japan but there are also lots of people trying to get back from there as well.

And now with the power station falling apart it looks like there will be more worries about visiting countries surrounding Japan.

This has been a big disaster which will take many years to rebuild the affected areas and with Tokyo being one of the areas this was a town which many holiday makers liked to visit.

Let me know if you have ever visited Japan and what your experiences were like.

Holiday Websites

I have always been unsure about booking a Holiday on a website which does not have a walk in shop but recently my friends have all be getting a great deal booking online and the Holiday turned out to be fantastic so i have decided to give it a go this year.

I have been told the best ones to go for are:

teletextholidays.co.uk
lowcostholidays.co.uk
co-operativetravel.co.uk
travelsupermarket.co.uk
onthebeach.co.uk

I have decided to use Co-Operativetravel.co.uk for my first online booking and so far it has been great.

Let me know if you have had good or bad experiences booking online and who your would or would not recommend.

Happy sailing

Think of a Mediterranean cruise and you’ll probably imagine a ship full of people over the age of 65, ballroom dancing and dubious cabaret. But my experience on the Seabourn Odyssey was something completely different to this.

The Seabourn Yachts are not like cruise ships; they’re very small and intimate and the atmosphere is amazing. Sophisticated and classy are two words that come to mind and I had the best time on the Seabourn Odyssey with three girlfriends.

We lay by the pool, sipped on cocktails which mysteriously turned up next to our sun loungers and indulged in the best food I have ever tasted at the range of restaurants available.

The rooms were spectacular and the staff were the most attentive and friendly bunch of people I have ever come across. We had the best five days in absolute luxury and I would recommend the Seabourn cruises to anyone – no matter what age.

It’s a hell of a town

It can be quite stressful trying to decide where to go on holiday each year. But if I was to recommend one place that everyone should go to at least once in their lives, it’s New York.

You have all sorts of images of the city in your mind before you go there. You might imagine it to be frantic, busy and a little stressful. But somehow, it’s none of those things.

New York is designed to make life easier. Everything’s easy to find, everything’s easy to get to and the roads are so wide that you don’t have to squash up to a crowd of people to get anywhere.

As well as this, there’s plenty to see, plenty to do and it has the coolest atmosphere and best people you could possibly imagine.

I’m currently living in Manchester and the difference between the two cities is unbelievable. While Manchester is overcrowded, hard work, dull and full of infuriating people, New York is the exact opposite and that’s exactly what I want from a city.

Looking forward to getting away

Unless you’re completely in love with your job (and let’s face it, most of us aren’t) then holidays are pretty much all you live for.

And it’s at this time of year when our minds start to wander; the weather’s getting colder, the nights are drawing in and the only thing to look forward to is getting away from it all next year.

It might seem like a long way off, but if you start considering holiday destinations now, you can ensure that you choose somewhere completely perfect for you. You don’t have to book just yet, but just have a browse and start narrowing down the options so that you can make 2011 one to remember.

Golf Holidays

When I have a few pounds saved up and it comes that time of the year to book a holiday, I think to myself “I have worked hard, where should I go?”

Now if you are like me and like to get lots of sunshine, have lots to do and see, and don’t always like to be sat by the pool or on the beach, I like to have adventures and discover new things that I wouldn’t normally see on a one week holiday.

In my spare time I love to go walking, love to be outside in the fresh air and also love to hit golf balls. Yes my favourite holidays are Golf Holidays.

You might not even play the game, you might hate the game, but there are so many GREAT things about going to a Golf resort/destination for your travels;

  1. The beautiful scenery (not just the golf courses, but the landscape)
  2. The fabulous sea air & beaches that are always close by
  3. The people – most people who go on golf holidays are friendly and always have smiles on their faces (whether they have been playing golf or not)
  4. The shops – especially for the ladies – golf resorts always have the best shops (from high street to Designer) close at hand
  5. The fantastic golf courses – I could think of nothing better that to be in the sunshine all day on a golf course, getting a tan, chasing a few birdies, and having a swim in the pool after that hard day’s work

I know it might not be to everybody’s taste (especially when I mention the word golf), but If you have never tried it, I think you will find a golf holiday has so many things for so many different people.

Cornwall

I love the Cornish Riveria anytime of the year, especially places like St Ives, Lands End & a bit further up is Newquay – popular with surfers. An old friend has a family holiday home in Downalong right in the heart of St Ives, a stone’s throw from the nearest beautiful beach (Porthmeor) where I first learnt to Surf with her brother in law. I was hooked from the moment I tried to catch my first wave. The restaurants in St Ives are beautiful, whether you fancy fresh seafood at the Seafood cafe or you just fancy some hearty pub food, there really is something for everyone there. In my opinion it is only second to the best costal destination in the UK, behind the wonderful Anglessey. I have grown up loving Anglessey & everything it has to offer.  I have not met one person who hasn’t be charmed by Anglesey.

Hot Britain – climate change!

After a long, cold winter when the summer weather finally decided to make an appearance, it was worth the wait. This past weekend has seen beautiful weather all over the UK and it makes me think, I don’t need to spend hundreds of pounds travelling abroad, I’ll stay here and drive to the seaside for the same results.

Forecasters say parts of South-East England and the North West of England will have their hottest day of the year so far as the mini heat wave continues.

Yesterday beaches were packed, ice cream sales were at a high and it was hotter than most other parts of the globe! I bet all the people who are going abroad in the next few weeks will be thinking that they should have stayed at home and saved their money.

For the people, the economy and the face of this wonderful country, it has been perfect timing and has put a big smile on the face of everybody young and old.

Ice creams all round, it’s amazing what a little bit of sunshine in your life does.
